[Discedo, have a very lovely view of... wood grain? The communicator is casting a shadow over it, and the shadow of a hand can be seen holding it. It's too close to the surface to see anymore shadows than that, so you'll have content yourself with observing how the wood's stain has been worn off in the one or two patches that are visible.
